Local — Columbia & Missouri

The chapter-specific links and contacts most relevant to mid-Missouri.

  • Free, staffed outdoor range about 7 miles north of Columbia (1505 Peabody Rd). No membership required. Hours: 12–6 Apr–Sep, 10–4 Oct–Mar. Heads up: groups of 10+ need a special-use permit from MDC, so RSVPs will be required for our range days here — we need a head count in advance to get the permit in time.

  • Indoor range about 20 minutes south of Columbia. Pay per visit — no membership required. Rentals available ($10 pistol / $20 long-gun, plus ammo). M–F 9–6, Sat 9–5, closed Sunday.

  • Missouri is a permitless-carry state for adults 19+ who can lawfully possess a firearm, but a CCW permit is still useful for out-of-state reciprocity. Permits are issued by your county sheriff.
